Yes, The Lake District is full of attractions - especially this spunky one!
Then there was this for breakfast...cornish pasty with brown sauce (brown sauce is a revelation and will be a new edition to our condiments when we get home!)
Which we devoured after our morning walk...
Then more food...waffles!!!!
Followed by the most beautiful museum visit ever.
Today Liss and I went to Hill Top Farm, where Beatrix Potter first bought in the Lake District.
Oh my goodness.
The drive was breathtaking, the museum was her house perfectly preserved with a lot of her original furniture and nicknacks. It was so touching to be there, the world seemed to stand still for a while as we breathed in her spirit of connection with the world around her, her generosity of spirit, and her love of nature. Magnificent.
And the cutest as cute sheep...and the local tourists out for a walk in this most beautiful of places...
