Annabelle's big dream was to go to Disneyland Paris with Liss. So we went too - and it was MIKE'S BIRTHDAY!!!!
We were burning rubber on the motorway (peage), just an hour and 15 minutes from Claude and Laurence's, by 8am, and were in the park just on opening time at 9.30am (along with what felt like a billion people).
We headed first for an oldie, but goodie, Pirates of the Caribbean (memories from Disneyland when I was a kid) then onto Thunder Railway (I'm not sure that's its name, but I'm too lazy to check - I'm currently lying on my hotel bed in Paris totally KNACKERED), then the Haunted House and on and on and on. Mike and Roses did all the crazy rollercoasters, and Liss and I spent the afternoon in Fantasyland on kids' rides because they were quiet, and smooth, and beautiful.
The big surprise of the day was how amazing the gardens were. Liss and I couldn't stop looking at the tulips and spring flower displays. Really really something special.
The best bit of the day was Mike walking around all day in his baby Yoda Mickey ears. See pics. HILARIOUS.
I hope the pics offer a sense of a crazy day of rides, food, flowers, and being totally knackered - we left about 9.30pm, and Roses was so tired that when she got home she went straight to bed in her clothes!
Happy bday!!!
